After our first publication last September with Brides Southern California Magazine in their fall/winter 2010 issue for our favorite engagement locations, we were so excited to hear from their photo editor again, Cristina Lozito, in November. She asked for us to submit Carolina and Mike’s September 24, 2010 wedding. And less than a week later we received confirmation that the Aceves wedding would featured as one of five “Real Weddings” in their 2011 Spring/Summer Issue that hit the stands January 4, 2011. Carolina and Mike were equally excited about the news and happy to share more about their story to accompany the 2 page article.

Here are some of portions of their questionnaire that are so fun to read!
THE LOOK OF THEIR WEDDING: Casual, modern with class, creating a romantic fresh attitude. Their colors were ivory, gold with tones of green.
HER DRESS: Purchased at Brides by Demetrios/Strapless a line dress with lace & beading. “I chose the dress because it was exactly what I imagined & more. I really did start crying once I had it on (after trying on 7 others). It was a true magical moment that I will never forget.” Her cathedral veil was her something borrowed from one of her bridesmaids, it was an honor for both of them. Bridesmaids wore cocktail green dresses adorned with a green flower, by After Six.
THE CEREMONY: Carolina and Mike’s daughter Gabriela was their flower girl and Carolina said, “Once our 2 year old daughter Gabriela saw Mike from a distance she ran as quick as she could to give him a huge hug. This could not have been planned that special. Everyone had a smile or tear at this moment.” Carolina’s brother officiated the ceremony and Mike’s best man did the honors of ringing the antique mission bell when the couple had their first kiss. There was not a dry eye during this ceremony.
